Gods Kaleidoscope

April 2020

Gods Kaleidoscope

because a passage says hello
rooms built just for them
made of golden threads
our walls drive spaces blank
coming outside reset mind
winds whisper too fast now
fire comes around darkness
water satisfies lands meal
earth grounds pages beat

tent cries asked gracefully
rain nourishes sleepy eyes
bigger amens rise tommorow
who thanks him daily
under the light created
early morning page scribbles
why does a verse jumble
maybe we understand differently

words are glanced upon
taken through messy rooms
cheat sheets camouflage perspective
invisible ink wells float
under layers of resources grand
starting fresh among it all
letters played anchor softly
camping made it feel right

lastly thing matter out here
bravely coming into new place
that's how idea found black light
what came gracefully born
a post out in seconds
heard ways not seen before
a question what do I tell God?

Dear God,
this may not be easy to say. Looking at other items. Not knowing exactly what to think. I have looked deep into your kaleidoscope every day. Blurred more than ever. Getting away was perfect way to recharge. Instead of seeing nothing, I saw everything. Clear on day one. Those moments being in your world matter. I want these to continue.

cost

cost

many lights adorned
hearts made of gold
wealthy more and more then some
big cities swallow up mountains
tall buildings multiply the few
metal and glass shatter across skylines

taxis whisper how small you are
blocks ground floors of steel
places tourist guides rave about
a must see wherever you roam
done below rooftops evaporate
all is heard but silent moments

horns at paces others slow down
steps so fast blocks crumble
here items don't matter one bit
treats are stars in lights
discovering something to love
wanting to step through windows

become part of this great display
money plays peekaboo loudly
big cities spend dollars voice
keep up with trends mirror sings
find yourself rich beyond chips
many talents graced first

Good

January 2020

Good

how many times can we answer
its too much sometimes right
you don't want to ever say
because good is all I can muster
good might be temporary maybe
besides hello starts dialogue
to really ask "how are you"
the best parts of these 7 days
the not great ups to downs
the different ways to feel

pause and identify underneath
heart and head stay true
what do I show everyday
how do I change it today
let each moment become amazing

waking up phone in hand
one by one apps open up
unlock phone first time
30 minutes later I wake
filled by others worlds
fueled by notifications buzz
forgetting I feel just okay
loving someone else's update
not seeing all my hallelujahs
all the best parts of today

each buzz extends heartbeat
checks feed right away
my inner voice says
what's going to happen wait
keep scrolling passes time
watching it go by quickly
look around just look
post details post pictures
my heart says no
does update get posted

instantly makes you feel better
like that sweater in a closet
a meal that is a love
place phone across the room
charged batteries to last 12 hrs
Am I at 100 percent this second
where do we fall on that
really never spill those secrets
I found good 75 percent richer
amazing 100 satisfactory

it's not the x amount of stuff
it's not typing pin fifty times
it's reading 25 pages tonight
it's turning off Netflix
it's doing what enriches us
it's saying this is what matters

More

More

braver all the ways we speak
bigger with our ways we inspire
bolder brought in ways never seen
more happiness allows smiles to grow

amazing from point a to present
artsy under no set definition
animated to keep moving imperfectly
more creativity globally reaching

sweet harmony fitting out of the box
simply celebrating who we are
more inspired by those doing so
watching silhouettes go viral

Her

March 2020. With the census this year. I was thinking about how society looks at
Females. They have to find there own self.

Her

were asked to fill out either or
male or female check mark
seeing that one option you are
does female match our society
here standing out matters less
expected to be dainty feminine
dress up in heels and makeup
look at celebrities image closely
pixels illuminate a moment in time
real sweats and graphic tees

mix it match it modify it
be confident all likes unique
able to say this is who I am
not letting an outfit speak out
love me not always the threads
put together in events code
keepers of impressing others
happily bonding among waves

where the water confuses
dressing trendy how about it
break away more like it
that's not all girls are made of
rescue inside those differences
generate new way for thoughts
crowned behind pretty faces
wardrobes worth an identity
she can be anything today

pretty little boxes lined up
clear spaces grains of sand
smashed into moving castles
tides of courage speak out
having a part of change

Fe makes all the noise
feeling how we really feel
fearless when it matters most
reading featuring her
feet that round each corner

watch before this routes up
how wonderful one is
