Insta not grammable
listen up I see you over there
walking into that store uneasy
the world tells you too much
Instagram blurs whats real
whats not an imperfect woman
take a step back really look
don't instantly compare d.n.a
ideas spiral virally and faster
lose weight,use latest product etc...
trends are meant to be broken
a picture is not a how to guide
how to change mirrors reflection
how to fit in at every turn
be able to change almost new you
make a post unfiltered raw edges
show personality masked in glass stones
shatter he classic mold genes
pick up each shard from less
repair does not equal expectations
caption reads "this is me in real life"
see more exit app and learn this
it is not the 2.d image seen
once inside things shift gears
we have all been past those doors
letting them become a wall breathing
feel small whisper rising slowly
maybe what I read has stuck
I don't have to be your canvas
view size on tag as one weight
losing it to wear an xs or small
why do we fixate on wearing that
just because a picture showed it
a brand seen with logo out front
fit this companies body type never
buying many peices without thought
first brick breaks fast fashion leaves
every day double tap womans love evolves
love outfits see a person last
automatically ask where its from
or whats the latest product scoop
they catch your glimpse of happy
its an instant gratification that fades
as more break she walks away proud
more self infused power to unfollow
umderstand all of us glow bright
I want more time put into posting
the pictures have no voice left
conform no longer heard today
buy me takes off and gets lost
found outside where doors hide
walls are invisible no longer alive
the world seems more manageable now
Instagram shows whats inspired
how to be a better human ourselves
step up and read more captions
we are heartbeats with wings
flying through Polaraoid instant film
camers lens zoomed in on life
in a second post appears digital
there are 60 seconds in a minute
35,000 decisons daily we make
so much weekly then imagined
imagine pages as disposable cameras
forced happiness brings real joy
