Today in church Pastor Rex talked about Joseph and Mary. I wrote this poem before today. It puts into perspective how important Jesus was to people back then.
An amazing star
Mary and Joseph stood lost
ready for baby Jesus
walk around towns nearby
hope for warmth that night
when inn had no vacancy
good shepards watched sheep
saw weary travelers smile
and thought of compassion
kind heart to offer shelter
inside a stable yonder
He said you can stay here
gracious guests said yes
this is Gods son just born
Angel Gabriel bless me
trust to be a mother
most important kid around
He was wrapped in cloth
placed gently on the hay
the night wore slowly
word spread all over
people came by as fans
donkeys,sheep,horses protecy
the angels brought peace
His second year came
gifts were laid by His bed
for three wise men appeared
Gold was very first posession
making it known,He was king
frankinsence held close
a role of a worldly priest
myrrh last drops of holiness
blanket of stars hugs earth night
they stand out on clear night
look up to see there compass
rooted in Bethlehem
a new star crowned a king
born on Christmas day
