Dear Reflection

tell me what the mirror said

first thing this morning

how do I look flaws faced

i'm perfect really does not make sound

I can't say what it said

but all I know is a reflection

a reflection for how quiet

it's taken looking in telescopes

standing still and deep breaths

all strolls and no scrolls

mistakes not shown online

spontaneous ways we see

tell me what the mirror hasn't told

I listed off every one

it can't tell what I'm good at

or show me ways to improve

hello are you still there

one thing is always true

I can't tell you how to look

or what looks good on you

reflected back at me today

someone who has good days

someone who learns from bad ones

it takes time to love an image

find the beauty in our present

Blessed Friends

 

My friend Melissa has been there for me so much. She has listened,read,baptized,asked and more. She came up to me for the first time. I was so out of my element. Now because of our friendship I am more than I think. She makes me feel like what I say matters. I cannot count the number of times we have laughed,cried,shined together. Thanks

my thoughts have been altered
broken with little extra glow
how it becomes so appreciated
the days all blend together
making moments feel grand
people being so precious 
just because that's enough

read all wisdom and advice
from posts online in seconds
this feels not authentically real 
hearing it goes far deeper
I have given my whole heart
peices of wisdom later

no amount of thank yous
no reasons why 
i'm thinking of you reigns 
more love comes shouts out loud
we met in our 20s 
felt like life long friends

been through deep talks
been in multiple groups
teaching me to be more grateful
listening beyond hello
here's to what's to come
