Time is golden

written at end of May

time is more than seconds melting into hours
morning sunshine, I wonder about today
can I be the best possible me right now
or will the world distract wildly
slowly camping in the wilderness
places of canopies and little baby bees
days created only for us to enjoy
that nights are waves hitting the bow

chairs around red orange sparks
moon shadows dive off the shore
flecks of golden mallow dance about
a classic combo delivers a hello
one bite warms this cold night
cozy ballads wrap up faded sunsets
the world a buzz with cricket songs
fireflies glow awake at dusk
attend party till dawn erupts

eyes inspect waking hours
where dings eclipse into silence
and walls grow from clouds;raindrops
my hands build tents
tracing trailed on creased maps
paper quickly torn apart
memories worn inside a heart
today I had no alarm am asleep
wake out of sync with the sun
taking breathes;fresh air;happy
worship new seconds freedom
a life grateful intentional spiritual
